Starting off with a trowel as a toy, Michael has spent the better part of his life on a construction site. In 2002 he began his apprenticeship for masonry and concrete building in Augsburg, Germany (a city with 2,000 years of construction history!) with a company that did everything from patios to highrise buildings. Moving on from there in 2010 he went into the development and application department of a chemical for construction company where he also received his master's in masonry and concrete building.

Since 2021 he and his wife Eva have been bringing their German expertise to the greater Oregon area with a focus on precision tiling, remodels and autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) blocks.
